We are so excited about our growing ministry for adults 60 and better — The Good Life — and we want to make sure you don't miss out on what's coming up this season! We have a wonderful lineup of events planned, with more to come, so keep reading the newsletters and bulletins each week to stay in the loop. Some activities require advance registration. Tuesday Tiles Open Mahjong Play

September 8

Open Mahjong play on the 2nd Tuesday of every month from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. in the Stephen Center. Adults of all ages at any playing level are welcome. Details & registration here.

Field Trip to Emerald Coast Community Theatre

September 16

Registration for this event has closed. We are attending the 1:00 matinee of Come From Away together on Wednesday, September 16. If you have a reservation for riding the church van to the performance, meet at the church by noon. If you missed our deadline and just want to purchase tickets directly from the theatre and meet us there, we would love to see you! Buy tickets here.

The Good Life Book Club

Educational Coffee Hour

September 22

Join us for coffee and pastries at 10:00 a.m. in the Stephen Center on Tuesday, September 22 for expert advice from Caring Transitions on managing moves, downsizing, decluttering, estate sales, online auctions, and full or partial clean-out of your home.

October 6

Meet up with Phillip Johnson and other members of The Good Life at Eden Gardens State Park on Tuesday, October 6 at 10:00 a.m. for this ranger-led hour-long hike. Registration not required. Details here.

October 7

Join us from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. om Wednesday, October 7 at Food for Thought (Santa Rosa Beach pantry) as we pack backpacks with lunches for students who need meal assistance over the weekend. Standing required for duration of two-hour shift. Learn more and register to help here.

Join us for a sweet and special service under the oaks at PWUMC on Saturday, October 10 at 10:00 a.m. where Pastor Jean will bless your pet(s). Donations of unopened pet food accepted for Caring & Sharing. More details coming soon.

The Good Life Book Club

Bring a sack lunch and a lawn chair to picnic under the oaks starting at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, October 26. We'll sing hymns led by Chris Klaus, our amazing Director of Music Ministry, and enjoy being together on an autumn day on our beautiful campus grounds.

Truck or Treat is one of our year's biggest events and it takes everyone helping to pull it off! This year's theme is "Giants" and the fun begins at 5:30 on Wednesday, October 28 in the FLC. Kelly and Jen will need volunteers for everything from set-up to cooking to serving snacks to leading games to hosting a trunk and everything in between. Blessing of the Pets
