
Kelly Yoakum
Ms. Kelly graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. She began teaching piano to beginner students in 2006. She remembers as a student not understanding how to read music, so she makes it intentional to make learning to read music fun! To give students a good foundation of understanding the beginning basics of music is her primary goal with a passion to be a life long learner. To teach kids that music is a form of play and expression.

Darrin Lyon
Mr. Lyon is a native of Okaloosa County, and attended Rocky Bayou Christian School in Niceville. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Troy University and performed throughout the US and Canada with the Troy University Symphony Band. Mr. Lyon’s primary instrument is French horn, but also has had several years of experience playing piano, trombone, and sousaphone.In 2015, he began teaching private lessons in addition to working as a Band Assistant at Davidson Middle School in Crestview. He became the Band Director at Emerald Coast Middle School in Santa Rosa Beach in 2016 and has been working there ever since. He currently lives in Ft. Walton Beach with his wife and four sons, and attends church at Westminster Presbyterian.

McCalle Tobler
Ms. Mac has lived in Santa Rosa Beach Florida for the last 3 years! She moved from the great state of Utah where she was born and raised. She graduated from the University of Utah with degrees in both Piano Performance and Psychology. She has been teaching piano for the last 14 years and enjoys sharing her passion with students who love to learn! She was the guest solo artist for the Salt Lake Symphony and has won numerous competitions for both piano and voice. She got to spend time singing in Europe with the Utah Ambassadors of Music and loves sharing her talents with others. She is also a composer and accompanist for many school districts in the Florida panhandle! In her spare time, you’ll find McCalle baking, singing, traveling, playing guitar, cooking, biking, spending time with family, and paddle boarding. She is so excited to be a part of the Music Academy at Point Washington!
