MissionsWe support Christian missions, mission trips and Christian endeavors on a local, regional, national and international level. There are many opportunities for you to become involved and we invite you to take part in mission activities. The following list describes the focus of various groups within the church, the local area and around the world.
Blue Lake
Blue Lake is the official camp of the Alabama/West FLorida Conference of the United Methodist Church. Children, youth and adults find camping and retreats to be powerful faith-forming experiences in the context of Christian community.
Caring and Sharing of South Walton
This organization reaches out to the needy in our area. In addition to monthly fund drives, we collect food for their pantry and volunteer time to drive the truck on Thursdays.

Children in Crisis, Inc.
"Providing Homes and Establishing Hope" to the abused, neglected and abandoned children of our community.
Children's Volunteer Health Network
Children's Volunteer Health Network (CVHN) facilitates the delivery of comprehensive direct medical, dental and mental health services to low income school children throughout Okaloosa and Walton counties and surrounding communities. www.cvhnkids.org
Costa Rica Mission
PWUMC hosts mission teams that travel to Costa Rica. We are helping to build churches in two locations and are conducting children's activities centered on the Bible.

Habitat for Humanity of Walton County
PWUMC supports Walton County's Habitat for Humanity working with the local organization to provide opportunities for the community to show God's love in action, in partnership with people in need as we help break the cycle of poverty by improving the quality of life of our partner families.
Local Disaster Preparedness, Response & Relief
The purpose of this mission is to ensure that PWUMC is ready to serve as an immediate resource responding to any type of disaster.

Panama City Rescue Mission
The goal of this mission is to provide a "continuum of care" for homeless and needy individuals that begins with shelter, food, clothing and continues with a personal development program of rehabilitation, vocational training, job placement and education.
Prison Ministry
We provide support to Washington Correctional Institute in the form of teaching Bible studies, sponsoring prayer groups, and teaching.

Kairos Prison Ministry
The mission of the Karios Ministry is to bring Christ's love and forgiveness to all incarcerated individuals, their families and those who work with them and to assist in the transition of becoming a productive citizen.
Russia Mission
PWUMC supports Sanchursk Orphanage sponsorship with Children's HopeChest/Fund Nadezhda. Church members have traveled to Russia to visit the children living in different orphanages and to pray with the terminally ill children and their families. We share the gospel and God's love with the children and workers.

Our mission is to provide redemptive, healing services that bring meaningful change to the lives of children and families. We seek to bring the wholeness of God's love to persons through Christ.
